Civic leagues introduce new Portsmouth Chief of Police



The combined Southeastern Portsmouth civic leagues held a meet and greet with Portsmouth's new Chief of Police, Edward G. Hargis, at the Cradock Community Center. A 20-year law enforcement veteran of the Camden, New Jersey, police department, Chief Hargis began his new position in January. Residents of Brighton/Prentis Park, Cavalier Manor, Highland Biltmore, Historic Truxtun, Prentis Place and Wilson Ward/Gosport came out to welcome the new chief and his staff.
